FYI here are some product details not specified on Amazon's description. I did not realize these are only designed for smaller bookshelf speakers. Up to 15 lbs. The 24" stand has a 7.5" by 7.5" speaker base so it can handle a bigger speaker. I really needed the bigger base.

I wasn't expecting much for $30 but these were exactly what I was looking for. A nice looking 3 foot stand for my bookshelf speakers. It gives a very impressive look to your home audio system and really improves the treble as opposed to having your speakers on the floor. Great quality...definitely something to consider.
Great stands at a great price. May 3, 2005 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
These stand are very attractive, you can spend two to three times this much for stands of less quality, less stablity, and less features. Sanus Systems makes a top notch product. I am impressed with Sanus Systems value and excellent designs, from the finish and materials, to the wire management, and all points in between. Sanus makes products that are simple and they make products that are ornate, but they all share one thing, quality and fantastic design. Don't hesitate buying a Sanus Systems product. I have had many A/V products over the decades and Sanus is as good as it gets at this price point, and better than most who charge 5x more.
Outstanding speaker stands. March 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Short and sweet, these are excellent stands at an excellent price. I would buy them again in a heartbeat. I read many reviews that stated the stands would "crack" while putting them together, I did not experience this what-so-ever. Shipping was free and quick. Buy these or feel the wrath of God.
Good Stand, Great Price June 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Going from 5.1 to 7.1, I needed to get an extra pair of stands. I have a pair of 24" Sanus I bought 7 years ago for my B&W 601's and have been very pleased. I needed taller stands for the side surrounds and since these are basically the same as my 24" stands, this was the set I needed. However when I started reading reviews about the assembly and splitting of the stand I began to wonder what is so different, because I don't recall my 24" assembly being any problem. The reason I didn't recall is because assembly is indeed easy on this set. All you need a screw driver. People having problems with this are obviously doing something wrong. Assembly tips: Put the spikes in first, (I was able to do it by hand) Start the 4 screws in the bottom base (not all the way) but just enough so a little bit sticks out far enough to align them to the holes in the pillars, Align the pillar holes on top of the screws then hand tighten. repeat for the top. I had these stands assembled in minutes without any splitting or problems. They will hold a pair of B&W 656 just fine and for the Amazon price you can't beat it.
